A little about the USSR
The Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, also of the USSR, the Soviet Union — the state that existed from 1922 to 1991 in the territory of the Eastern Europe, Northern and parts of Central and Eastern Asia. The USSR was formed on 30 December 1922 by combining the RSFSR, Ukrainian SSR, Byelorussian SSR and Transcaucasian SFSR in one state with a single government with its capital in Moscow, Executive and judicial authorities, legislative and legal systems. Of the Federal Republic (in different years from 4 to 16), according to the Constitution, was considered to be sovereign States; formally each Soviet Republic had the right to freely wilhdraw from the Union. The Federal Republic had the right to enter into relations with foreign States, conclude treaties with them, exchange diplomatic and consular representatives, to participate in the activities of international organizations. Among the 50 founding countries of the UN along with the USSR were his two Soviet republics, Byelorussian SSR and Ukrainian SSR. |
